This month I have revised one of my previously published recipes. It is Easy and Perfect Popovers. I recently made the first recipe and found them to be too dense. I tried this new recipe from Martha Stewart. After testing her recipe, I was pleased with how light and airy they turned out. As we slide into spring, these are a wonderful treat to have any time of the day. They are a nice replacement for serving rolls. Classically they are served mid-afternoon with butter, jam and tea.
It looks like Le Conge’ will finish her 6 months of repairs this month. I am not sure if I have mentioned this, but our boat is a Grand Banks 42 Classic. Before we can start cruising and I can cook in my galley, we will have a fun adventure coming up. It is the annual Grand Banks Rendezvous in Roche Harbor on San Juan Island. Dave and I are looking forward to the presentations and talking with cruisers that have brought their Grand Banks vessels to the event.
I finish this newsletter with a recent photo Dave took. It is a well-made wooden pedestrian bridge that he came across on one of his hikes in the Olympic mountains.
