Dave and I are home from our second cruise that we did solo to three wonderful waterfront towns on and near Whidbey Island.  This is located on the central and eastern side of the Puget Sound.  We cruised for a week to Coupeville, La Conner and Langley.

Our first night anchoring out near the town of Coupeville, we drove our dingy to Captain Whidbey’s Inn and Restaurant.  Their menu features Pacific Northwest cuisine with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients.  Dave ordered the salmon, and I opted for the charcuterie board.  The board was filled with all sorts of local cheeses, meats, nuts, fruit and crackers.

That is my inspiration for this month’s recipe.  In October of 2018, I published Cheese Charcuterie Board.  The backstory is in the recipe.  What I love about the recipe is that it is not an exact science.  You can use any combination of ingredients and best of all you don’t have to cook anything.
