With Christmas quickly approaching, I am including some recipes that I have already published and enjoy making this time of year.  They are Hot Artichoke Dip, Easy Perfect Popovers and Slow Cooker Orange Cranberry Sauce.  The hot artichoke dip can be made ahead of time, kept in the refrigerator and then popped into the oven before you are ready to serve drinks.  The popovers, which are also called Yorkshire pudding, are a perfect companion for poultry, roasts or any other main dish.  Lastly, I enjoy making the warm orange cranberry sauce as it goes well with the festive meal.

I took my header photo from a store in the nearby town of Poulsbo.  The store does a wonderful job of decorating for Christmas and sells amazing ornaments and other decorations.   The town is known as “Little Norway”, and it is a tourist attraction.  Poulsbo sits next to the Puget Sound and was settled by Scandinavian immigrants.  It has a wonderful Norwegian vibe with great shopping and restaurants.

The footer photo is Dave looking on as Le Conge’ was moved into her enclosed boat house.  The shipyard is in Port Townsend, and our boat is getting many improvements (including new windows) for the upcoming 2026 cruising season.

Dave and I wish you Happy Holidays!!
