Dave and I just finished our first cruise with the Port Ludlow Yacht Club.  We cruised with 6 other boats for 12 days in the southern part of the Puget Sound.  It was a nice time getting to know other club members, attend potlucks, do sightseeing and enjoy the scenery on the south Sound.  Dave and I provisioned for breakfast and quite a few lunches aboard.  We also occasionally had dinner on Le Conge’.  But the rest of the meals were with the group either at restaurants or shore side potlucks.  My header photo is of a wonderful lobster dinner we had with our group on the trip.  But what I wanted to focus on this month is what is my favorite thing to make in my galley.  I love a good lobster roll sandwich.  But Shrimp Rolls are just as good.  I published that recipe in August of 2018.  One summer, a few years ago Dave and I had the good fortune to take my cousins Jeff, Nancy, Kathy, James and their spouses out for a sail on Reprisal.  Before pushing off from the slip, I served everyone one of these shrimp rolls in our cockpit.  Those pared with some sliced watermelon really hit the spot.
