Clam Dip has been a family favorite for as long as I can remember. I was pleased to learn that this is one of Dave’s favorite dips when we started dating in college. We enjoy this appetizer when sailing and it’s a holiday tradition at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our favorite is to use Fritos scoop corn chips because this is a thick dip. And the great thing, the dip gets better with time.

2 cans minced clams (6.5 oz. each)
 2 packages cream cheese
 6 cloves garlic, minced
 4 tablespoons minced red onion
 1½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
 1 tablespoon dill
 1 tablespoon cilantro (or parsley)
 Paprika

Place cream cheese in mixing bowl and allow to come to room temperature. Drain clams and save the clam juice. Add clams and all remaining ingredients except paprika to the bowl with cream cheese. Add 6 tablespoons of the reserved clam juice. Blend with a mixer. Test with the type of chip you want to use. If you prefer a thinner chip like a potato chip, you may want to add a little more of the clam juice to thin the dip. I prefer the dip to be just thick enough to not break the chip. Place dip in serving dish and sprinkle with paprika. Chill until ready to serve with chopped veggies and your favorite chips. This dip will last for several days refrigerated. Serves a large party of 12
