My mother had a favorite go to dinner party menu for guests that came to our house. In my May and September newsletters, you read about the first two recipes. They were her Baked Rice with Beef Consommé and Grilled Marinated Flank Steak. This month I am featuring the third recipe to complete the trilogy, and it is Asian Mandarin Orange Salad.
I have continued to take German lessons virtually for about 4 years now and my German instructor, Dagmar Stark Bastin, is an amazing linguist. I also consider her a friend. I was telling her about this salad recipe, and she brought up Salata. That is my header photo. I did buy a bottle and it is a wonderful vinegar dressing for your favorite salad.
Dave took the footer photo. We are fortunate to have not only water views of the Puget Sound but also sweeping views of the Washington Cascade mountains. Happy Halloween!
