Easy Pizza Sauce

An easy pizza sauce that is perfect with the Cauliflower Pizza!

 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
 2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
 2 tablespoons dried Italian seasoning
 2 teaspoons paprika
 2 tablespoons olive oil
 4 cloves garlic, minced
 1 cup onion, chopped
 ½ teaspoon black pepper

In a food processor using the sharp “S” blade, place the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, paprika and black pepper.

Pulse until thick and looking like a sauce.

In a sauté pan, add the olive oil, garlic and onion. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes over medium heat until the garlic is soft and the onion translucent.

Add the tomato sauce to the pan and stir. Cover and bring the sauce to a boil. Lower the temperature and simmer stirring occasionally for 20-30 minutes. Take off the heat and cool. Store in an airtight container until you are ready to use this on your pizza dough. (You can freeze this sauce after it comes to room temperature.)
