Summertime is when we crave corn on the cob. It is easy to prepare, and the microwave approach is my latest favorite. My newsletter from August 2026 discusses some other ways.
4 Cobs or Cornshucked and ends trimmed off
Salt and Pepper
½ cup Buttermelted
Paper Towels
1

2
Wet a full sheet of paper towels and wrap around the ear of corn.

3
Do the same for 2 at a time in the microwave. Set at high heat for 6 minutes.

4
Then repeat for the other 2 ears of corn.

5
Pre heat the oven to warm or 150 degrees Fahrenheit. Place some aluminum foil on an oven ready dish and set all 4 cobs into the foil.

6
Brush all sides with melted butter generously. Season all sides with salt and pepper to taste.

7
Wrap up the corn in the foil and leave it in the warm oven until you are ready to serve your meal.

8
It’s as easy as that and makes 4 servings.
