It is hard to believe that my food blog is now seven years old. The first recipe I published was Clam Dip in October 2017. I made the recipe in the galley of our former sailboat named Reprisal. I want to give a shout out to my IT team of Matt and Casey. Matt is the owner of Leap of Faith Security. Casey is my right-hand man publishing my newsletter and recipes each month. I cannot take credit for the subject headings for the newsletters you receive each month. Casey is the clever mind behind that.
With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I decided to clean out our pantry. I wanted to find out what Thanksgiving food items were stored there that I could still use. I was happy to find many items. Now I know what is left to shop for. What I also found was the sum of a full bag of canned goods and other food items that I don’t need. So, I donated those to our local food bank. As so many of you know, the food banks provide food year around and they deserve our contributions.
I thought you might like to see a few of my recipes that I use for our Thanksgiving dinner. Two of them are the header and footer photos. They are Ina’s Herb Apple Stuffing Casserole, Green Bean Casserole and Pumpkin Apple Butter Pie. Dave and I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!
From my table to yours,
Your Galley Guide
