Happy New Year! A few weeks ago, I baked the Black Forest chocolate cherry cupcakes that you can find in Sweet Things. This time I decided to try it with fresh cherries versus canned pie cherries. I have to say the cupcakes are delicious either way. At Christmas dinner, I made my traditional Weiner Schnitzel and Spaetzle for Dave and my Cousins which now have new final photographs.
I have fond memories of my Aunt Phyl’s beef rouladen. I remember her making them during the holidays and they were tender and delicious. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find her recipe. But through trial and error, I came up with a recipe that tastes like hers. So, Beef Rouladen has now been added to the Meat Lovers section. Also added are 3 new recipes in Casserole and Sides. They include Slow Cooker Cranberry Orange Sauce, Ina’s Herb Apple Stuffing Casserole, and a revised Crock-pot Mac-n-Cheese. .
Recently, I have been making wooden cutting boards. NextFab is where I take the wood working classes. It is a place where people who have an interest in developing new skills can go to learn collaboratively. Along with learning how to make cutting boards, I took another class on the Universal Laser machine. I thought it would be fun to put my logo on the cutting boards. New to the Great Tools section, you have a link to cutting boards. The header photo shows the logo for the charcuterie board and narrative on the history, types of wood, and how to care for your cutting boards.
